We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen. Duties
Lead and supervise kitchen staff, ensuring efficient teamwork and adherence to organisational standards
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards
Oversee food production, ensuring consistency, quality, and timely delivery of all menu items
Manage food safety procedures, including proper storage, handling, and sanitation practices
Assist in menu planning and development to keep offerings innovative and appealing
Monitor stock levels and place orders to maintain optimal inventory levels
Train new staff members in food preparation, cooking techniques, and safety protocols
Ensure the kitchen maintains a clean, organised, and safe environment at all times
Serve dishes to guests when necessary, providing excellent customer service
Experience
Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, preferably within a restaurant or hospitality setting
Supervising experience is highly desirable, demonstrating leadership capabilities and team management skills
Extensive knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and culinary trends
Strong understanding of food safety regulations and best practices
Experience in food production from concept to execution with attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality
Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is advantageous but not essential for entry-level roles
