Theatre Admission and Discharge Nurse/ Practitioner RN/ODP Band 5
The Queen Victoria Hospital Admissions and Discharge team pride ourselves on being part of a supportive multidisciplinary team with a long history of excellence.
A passionate approach to patient centred care is essential to managing our busy admission and discharge areas.
The admissions and discharge area is part of a complex dynamic perioperative suite managing a number of different specialities in major to minor reconstructive surgery.
Main duties are to offer a high standard of 1:1 care to our pre and post operative patients.
Surgical specialities include:
Plastics, Maxillofacial, Ophthalmology, ENT, Burns, Hand Surgery and Trauma.A centre of excellence, with an international reputation for pioneering advanced techniques and treatments. Everything we do is informed by our passion for providing the highest quality care and the best clinical outcomes.

The post holder will work as part of a team to provide a safe, cost effective, efficient care environment for patients, relatives and carers.
They will participate in the training of junior staff and continue their own personal and professional development by rotating within the perioperative department.
