We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Theatre Assistant to support our healthcare team in providing exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of anatomy and physiology, along with essential skills in infection prevention control and basic life support. Duties
Assist healthcare professionals in delivering patient care and support.
Maintain aseptic technique during procedures to prevent infection.
Monitor patients' conditions and report any changes to the medical team.
Utilise medical terminology effectively when communicating with staff and documenting patient information.
Conduct basic assessments and analyse patient data as required.
Ensure that all equipment is cleaned, sterilised, and ready for use.
Support the team in maintaining a safe and organised environment for both patients and staff.
Skills
Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology to understand patient needs effectively.
Proficiency in basic life support techniques to respond to emergencies.
Familiarity with infection prevention control protocols to ensure patient safety.
A minimum of 1 year experience working in a Theatre Assistant role
Excellent analytical skills to assess patient information and contribute to care planning.
Strong interpersonal skills to provide compassionate patient care and collaborate with colleagues effectively.
