Theatre Manager
to lead our theatre and ward teams, ensuring high-quality, safe and efficient patient care.
As we continue to grow, we are seeking a Theatre Manager to provide operational and clinical leadership for our theatre area. The role will be responsible for leading and managing all theatre services, ensuring the delivery of safe, efficient and patient-centred care. You will provide strategic and operational leadership, drive service improvements and maintain the highest standards of clinical governance, quality and staff development. Key Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership:
Lead the day-to-day operational management of theatres and associated hospital services.
Oversee staffing, rotas, recruitment, appraisals and performance management
Monitor KPIs and report on associated metrics.
Clinical Governance and Quality:
Ensure compliance with clinical governance, CQC regulations, and hospital policies.
Manage infection prevention and control standards and sterility processes.
Lead audits, risk management and patient safety initiatives.
Strategic Development and Service Improvement:
Contribute to hospital strategy and service development.
Identify and implement service improvements and efficiencies.
Oversee supply chain, stock management and supplier contracts.
Leadership and Staff Development:
Lead, motivate and develop multidisciplinary teams.
Foster a positive, professional and supportive workplace culture.
Essential Skills and Experience:
Registered Nurse (NMC), GMC-registered Doctor, ODP with valid registration or substantial evidenced operational experience.
Minimum of 2 year's experience as a theatre manager and 5 years in hospital management/leadership.
Strong understanding of clinical governance, patient safety and risk management.
Knowledge of CQC standards, policies and inspection processes.
Experience in infection control, sterility processes
Track record of transformation and improvement in a leadership position.
Experience in supply management and theatre stock processes.
Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and develop multidisciplinary teams.
Excellent organisational, communication and IT skills.
Professional, reliable, and driven, with a commitment to delivering outstanding results.
