Job Summary

The Theatre Nurse plays a crucial role in the surgical team, providing high-quality care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. This position requires a dedicated and skilled professional who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment, ensuring patient safety and comfort before, during, and after surgery. The Theatre Nurse collaborates closely with surgeons, anaesthetists, and other healthcare professionals to facilitate efficient surgical operations.

Duties

Prepare the operating theatre by ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are ready for surgical procedures. Assist in the positioning of patients on the operating table and ensure their comfort and safety throughout the procedure. Monitor patients' vital signs and respond to any changes during surgery. Maintain sterility of the operating environment by adhering to strict infection control protocols. Provide support to surgeons by passing instruments and materials as required during procedures. Document patient care activities accurately in accordance with hospital policies. Assist in post-operative care by monitoring patients as they recover from anaesthesia and providing necessary support. Participate in continuous professional development to stay updated with best practices in theatre nursing.

Pay: 21.96-37.00 per hour
