About the Role - Children's Residential Support Worker
We are seeking a Children's Residential Support Worker to join our established team at our home in Marple, Stockport. Ideally, candidates will have experience in similar settings and possess either:
Level 4 Diploma in Children, Young People, and Families Practitioner
Level 4 Diploma Children and Young People Workforce
NVQ Level 3 Health and Social Care - Childcare
Responsibilities of a Residential Support Worker
Provide direct support to children in a residential setting, ensuring their safety and well-being.
Develop and implement individualised care plans tailored to each child's needs.
Foster positive relationships through effective communication and active listening.
Assist with daily activities, including transportation and recreational outings.
Maintain accurate records and documentation related to care and progress.
Collaborate with team members and external professionals to enhance the quality of care.

We have earned a reputation as a leading provider of residential childcare, providing long-term, stable, and secure placements for young people who have experienced chaotic childhoods, multiple placement breakdowns, or challenges related to failed foster care or adoption placements.
Salary is based on a 40-hour workweek, paid with an hourly rate of 12.30-13.75p/h, plus two sleep-ins per week (60 per sleep-in). Please note that sleep-ins are not guaranteed or contractual and will be allocated fairly among the staff team according to the needs of the young people.
To be successful in your application, you must undergo a rigorous safer recruitment process, including reference checks and an enhanced DBS check. As a staff member, you are required to adhere to a strict code of conduct regarding your behaviour at all times.
