We prioritise creating enjoyable roles within positive environments in which staff are fully supported to deliver care that promotes the wellbeing of our young people. Our teams are thoroughly trained and equipped to provide therapeutic care, and all staff must be willing to work towards Level 3 Health & Social Care. We create nurturing and safe homes for our young people to develop their independence, confidence and wellbeing. Ty Caredig care for young people aged 7 to 17, who can sometimes present challenging behaviour associated with traumatic backgrounds.

The Therapeutic Lead is responsible for:

The training and confidence of staff in the delivery of therapeutic models. The sourcing, delivery, and performance of external therapeutic professionals. The consistent and comprehensive delivery of trauma-informed therapeutic care to all young people in Ty Caredig.
Key tasks include:

Routine and ad-hoc supervisions with staff teams and individual employees. Consulting in multi-disciplinary team meetings with Registered Managers. Formulation and review of therapeutic plans for young people in Ty Caredig. Delivery of in-person training to staff including child development & attachment and trauma response models. Information sharing sessions with our young people to advise on different therapy options. Sourcing and commissioning therapy services for our young people.
We seek positive and engaging members to join the team and make a positive contribution to all aspects relating to running successfully functioning homes. The ideal candidate will hold at minimum a Master's degree-level qualification in psychology, psychotherapy, counselling, social work, or a related field, with relevant accreditation. They will have a strong understanding of safeguarding, child development, and trauma-informed care, and be able to translate these into practical applications for our employees to follow.

This vacancy is to cover maternity leave and therefore will be around 1 year.

Job Types: Temporary, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 15 months

Pay: 45,000.00-50,000.00 per year
