Therapy Assistant Band 3

Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity to recruit a Band 3 Therapy Assistant in The Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) and Complex Cancer Late Effects Rehabilitation Service. We are a specialist multi-disciplinary team working with people with complex chronic pain. The Therapy Assistant will be part of the specialist team, and training will be provided. You'll help provide support to our patients assist in delivering the best care possible to our patients who have significant pain and pain associated disabilities. We are a part of the Bath National Pain Services based at the Royal United Hospitals (RUH). We maintain the highest standards of care for patients with complex needs. You will be supporting the patients throughout their attendance on a two-week residential rehabilitation programme. This involves supporting the clinicians and delivering some elements of groupwork. You will also be assisting patients with aspects of personal care and activities of daily living in the therapy environment, including hydrotherapy. You will be pivotal in communicating with the wider pain speciality team and associated support services. You will be responsible for organising the daily patient timetable and scheduling transport. You will be supporting CRPS and CCLERS patients in making a difference to their functional level and quality of life.
