Job Description

St Peter's Hospice provide palliative care to adults in Bristol, South Gloucestershire and parts of North Somerset and Bath & North-East Somerset through a range of services, including community care, in-patient care and day services.


We are developing our service and have an opportunity to join our Day Services and Therapy team as a

Therapy Assistant

.


The role will require both independent and team working within a variety of settings including the Hospice inpatient unit, and community settings including patients' homes.


You will have the ability to work alongside the Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Registered Nurse and Complementary therapists in providing services that focuses on patient's goals around empowerment, enablement and self-management. The therapists use a rehabilitation model to optimise function.


Applicants should have excellent communication skills, demonstrating sensitivity and compassion to patients, families and carers. Experience of working with people with life limiting conditions will be an advantage. You will have experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team, be adaptable, reliable and highly organised. Applicants should also have excellent IT skills.


You must have a clean driving licence and access to a car.


What we can offer you:

Salary from 27,061 up to 29,696 per annum, dependent on experience Working hours are 30 per week (4 days), Monday to Friday, 9:00 - 17:00 with occasional Saturday hours
