Therapy Assistant (Fixed Term)

Actual salary range: 21,899.81 - 22,635.13 per annum

(FTE 26,834.98 - 27,736.17 per annum)

(Salary subject to qualifications and experience)

40 Hours per week, 37 weeks per year

An exciting opportunity has become available to join Ruskin Mill College. We are seeking Therapy Assistant to work as part of a Therapy Team on

a fixed term basis up to 6 months.

You will assist in the delivery of Therapy provision for college students using the Practical Skills Therapeutic Curriculum and outdoor learning as the priority resources available.

The post holder will be expected to embrace, articulate and work with the Trust's objectives, vision, values, purpose and method, ensuring that the Trust's paradigm of biodynamic agriculture, Anthroposophical medicine and practical skills education, which is informed by Steiner Education, is maintained, implemented and integrated.

Main Duties:

To assist in the delivery of occupational therapy and speech and language therapy sessions to individuals or small groups of students.

To work directly with individual students or in small groups under guidance of the Occupational Therapist or Speech and Language Therapist.

To provide resources and pass on strategies to staff, under the direction of the Occupational Therapist and Speech and Language Therapist.

To support the therapy team with administrative tasks and liaise with the College Therapists at regular Therapy meetings.

The qualifications, skills and experience that we are looking for:

Achieved or working towards Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy or Speech and Language Therapy.

Experience of working with young people with autistic spectrum conditions and other learning differences.

Strong communication and IT Skills.
