About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced
Therapy Team Manager
to lead a multidisciplinary therapy and recreational therapy team within a specialist neurological care centre. This role involves providing strong clinical leadership, overseeing service delivery, and supporting continuous quality improvement and clinical governance across all therapy services.
You will play a key role in ensuring that individuals with neurological conditions receive high-quality, evidence-based therapy that promotes recovery, independence, and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage a specialised therapy team, ensuring effective service delivery from referral to discharge.
Oversee caseloads and treatment programmes to maintain efficiency and clinical excellence.
Drive quality improvement and clinical governance initiatives, including risk management and adherence to professional standards.
Support and develop team members through supervision, appraisals, training, and performance management.
Chair multidisciplinary team (MDT) and review meetings as required.
Collaborate with other professionals to resolve operational challenges across services.
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate therapy interventions for service users.
Monitor compliance with mandatory and specialist training requirements.
Lead audits, service evaluations, and outcome measurement initiatives.
Contribute to a safe, efficient, and compassionate care environment while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
About You
BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy (or equivalent qualification).
Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
Relevant post-registration training and leadership experience within a health or social care setting.
Evidence of continued professional development (CPD).
Experience working with individuals with moderate to advanced neurological conditions.
Strong understanding of neurological rehabilitation principles, clinical reasoning, and evidence-based practice.
Proven ability to manage a team, including recruitment, supervision, appraisals, and performance management.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills.
Membership in a professional specialist interest group (e.g., ACPIN or ACPIVR) is desirable.
