Job Description

Seeking Experienced Thermal Insulation Supervisor to be involved with long term projects on industrial sites as part of a healthy order book and company progression plan.

Rates in accordance with TICI National Agreement & NAECI

25 days paid holiday + 8 statutory days holiday

Job purpose



To ensure jobs are and tasks are completed in accordance with work packs, providing supervision to members of the working party - maintaining high standards of health, safety, quality and compliance.

Key role/responsibilities:



To review work scopes with the Contract Manager and discuss/agree contract details including specification, health & safety requirements, access equipment, works programme & undertake relevant toolbox talks. To cooperate with management, ensuring specific insulation works are carried out in accordance with the safe system of work and completed to a high standard and within agreed timescales. To read, understand and adhere to Method Statements & Risk Assessments, communicating and agreeing with the work planner, any anomalies or deviations as they become apparent. To ensure all work pack records (pre-job briefs, checklists, forms, quality checks, etc.) remain up to date and are completed comprehensively and in their entirety. To comply with Company Policies, Procedures, Manuals and site specific requirements. To be accountable for all members of the working party (Operatives and Apprentices) - ensuring performance and behaviours remain professional at all times and that an appropriate level of supervision is provided. To establish and maintain a safe work area, ensuring work areas are clearly demarcated to prevent unauthorised access, safe tools and equipment are used, there are no inadvertent effects to adjacent personnel, safe access/egress is maintained, including in emergency situations. To ensure Operatives are competent and hold the relevant training certification for the activities being carried out and specific equipment being used. To ensure the safe and secure storage of all materials and equipment To ensure waste is minimised, segregated into the correct waste stream, transported and disposed of appropriately. To maintain a tidy work area at all times, demonstrating high standards of housekeeping during the course of work and upon completion. To ensure all work equipment (including access equipment and Company vehicles) is suitable, safe for use and adequately maintained. To ensure adequate provision of RPE, PPE and PPC is available, used properly and worn when required. To report all accidents, incidents, near misses and hazards immediately and in accordance with the Company procedures, to allow appropriate investigations and remedial actions to be taken. To liaise and cooperate with the Contract Manager and SHEQ Manager during site visits/audits. To cooperate fully and professionally with inspectors from the HSE/EA/ONR and Client representatives. To support the Company in their endeavours to comply with all legislative obligations to meet the requirements of ISO 9001 Quality Management System and ISO 14001 Environmental Management System. Additionally, you are expected to carry out any other duties that may reasonably be required in line with your main duties.
