Job Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Green Oaks Day Nursery for a new staff member to join the management team. We are looking for a Third in Charge to support the Deputy Manager and Manager in the day to day running of the nursery. This will be alongside the role of Room Leader for one of our four rooms. Your role will include:

Lead the daily running of your room, inspiring and supporting your team to deliver outstanding childcare and learning experiences. Plan and implement engaging activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). Ensure the highest standards of safeguarding, health and safety, and wellbeing are maintained. Support the Nursery Manager and Deputy Manager with the day-to-day running of the setting, taking charge in their absence. You will be a key holder and required to assist in opening/closing the nursery. Identify staff training needs through peer observations. Be a role model for best practice and help drive continuous improvement across the nursery.

Requirements

Level 3 in Child Care as a minimum Proven management or leadership experience within childcare or nursery settings Strong understanding of the EYFS and early child development Experience working with children within nursery or preschool environments Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written Ability to motivate and lead a team effectively under pressure Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently Passionate about providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children Flexibility to work various shifts as required by the organisation's operational hours
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 29,000.00-31,000.00 per year
