We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual for the position of TIG Welder/Fabricator. The successful candidate will be responsible for contributing to the assembly and construction of various metal components, ensuring high standards of quality and safety. Duties
Perform TIG welding and other welding techniques on various materials, primarily sheet metal components.
Use hand tools, power tools, and specialised fabrication equipment to assemble metal parts accurately.
Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to ensure precise fabrication and assembly.
Operate and maintain welding equipment, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times.
Conduct basic measurements and calculations using fundamental maths skills to verify dimensions.
Assist with the preparation of materials, including cutting, grinding, and fitting components.
Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Experience
Proven experience in TIG welding and fabricating of sheet metal products.
Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and general fabrication techniques.
Knowledge of sheet metal working processes and assembly procedures.
Mechanical knowledge related to machinery operation and maintenance is desirable.
Ability to read technical drawings or blueprints is preferred.
Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and quality checks are essential.
Previous experience working with welding equipment, sheet metal fabrication, or mechanical assembly is essential.
