Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Welder to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality welding operations, primarily specialising in TIG welding, to fabricate and repair metal components. Responsibilities

Execute TIG welding processes with precision to join various metals according to technical specifications. Perform welding tasks on different materials, including sheet metal and other fabrications, ensuring adherence to safety standards. Use hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to prepare materials and complete fabrication tasks. Assist in the assembly of components, ensuring proper fit and finish. Conduct inspections of welds for quality and consistency, making adjustments as necessary. Maintain a clean and organised work area, following health and safety regulations at all times. Read technical drawings and blueprints accurately to determine welding requirements. Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines efficiently.

Skills

Proven experience in TIG welding, with a strong understanding of welding standards. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment. Solid knowledge of sheet metal work and basic mechanical principles. Ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately. Good understanding of basic maths for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks. Familiarity with assembly processes and mechanical knowledge is advantageous. Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality control during welding operations. Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
