Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled MIG and TIG Welder to join our small friendly team. The successful candidate will be responsible for welding and fabricating metal components with precision and attention to detail. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical processes, the ability to work with various hand and power tools, and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards in all welding tasks.

Duties

Perform MIG and TIG welding on various materials, ensuring adherence to specifications and quality standards. Assemble and fabricate metal components according to engineering drawings and project requirements. Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and finishing metal parts. Conduct inspections of completed welds to ensure structural integrity and compliance with safety regulations. Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring all equipment is properly stored after use. Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues related to welding processes or equipment. Follow safety protocols at all times, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Qualifications

Proven experience in MIG and TIG welding techniques. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings. Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication processes. Proficient in using hand tools and power tools relevant to welding tasks. Basic maths skills for accurate measurements and calculations during fabrication processes. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
