We are seeking a skilled Timber Frame Erector to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling and erecting timber frames on various building projects, ensuring structural integrity and adherence to safety standards. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in carpentry and construction, looking to specialise in timber frame construction. The position is paid and requires a commitment to quality workmanship and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

Erect timber frames on-site according to engineering drawings and specifications Assemble components using hand tools, power tools, and specialised joinery techniques Fabricate timber elements as needed for specific project requirements Assist with the installation of roofing, masonry, plumbing, electrical systems, and construction painting where necessary Perform heavy lifting and manoeuvring of large timber sections safely Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company standards Collaborate with other tradespeople such as masons, electricians, and plumbers to coordinate tasks effectively Maintain a clean and organised work environment at all times

Skills

Proven experience in fabrication, assembly, and carpentry within a construction setting Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and specialised joinery equipment Knowledge of roofing, masonry, plumbing, electrical work, or construction painting is advantageous Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently Strong understanding of structural principles related to timber framing Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team Physical fitness suitable for demanding manual labour tasks
