About the Role

Waterloo Timber is seeking an experienced

Yard Foreman

to join our Clitheroe team. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone with solid

bench joinery experience

and experience working within the timber industry.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily yard operations and supervise yard staff Ensure efficient loading, unloading, and organisation of materials Carry out bench joinery tasks to support workshop and customer needs Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant yard environment Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory control Liaise with management, workshop teams, and delivery drivers Uphold high standards of health and safety Support and train junior team members

Skills & Experience Preferred

2 years' experience in a timber-related role

(preferred) Proven

bench joinery experience

Experience using key workshop machinery, including: Spindle moulder Bandsaw Thicknesser/planer Table saw Cross-cut saw Panel saw A

keen eye for detail

and a commitment to high-quality workmanship

Excellent timekeeping

and reliability Previous supervisory/foreman experience (preferred) Strong organisational and communication skills Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment FLT licence beneficial but not essential
