SPS Timber Windows is an award-winning specialist manufacturer of

high-quality, bespoke timber windows and doors

, supplying private homes across London and the South East. All of our products are designed, made, finished and glazed in-house at our Mitcham workshops.

We are looking for a

skilled, enthusiastic workshop operative

with

recent experience

in the manufacture, finishing or glazing of timber windows and doors -- or in a closely related joinery or furniture-making environment.

This is a

hands-on role

suited to someone who takes real pride in their work, has a

keen eye for detail

, and wants to develop their skills within a respected specialist business.

The Role

You will be involved in a range of workshop activities including: Manufacturing and assembling bespoke timber windows and doors Finishing, glazing and final detailing to a high standard Working with traditional joinery machinery and hand tools Supporting workshop production and quality control Occasional assistance with on-site installation when required
This role is

primarily workshop-based

at our Mitcham facility.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

Has

recent experience

working with timber windows, doors or high-quality joinery Comes from a joinery workshop, window manufacturing, furniture-making or finishing background Has a

genuine interest in the timber window and door industry

Has excellent attention to detail and takes pride in producing high-quality work Is reliable, enthusiastic and keen to learn and progress Lives in

close proximity to Mitcham (CR4 4HR)

and can commute reliably
Experience with, glazing, or finishing systems is an advantage, but

not essential for the right candidate

.

Additional Desirable Skills

Forklift licence (advantageous but not essential)

Full UK driving licence (advantageous)

Good spoken and written English

Hours & Pay

37.5 hours per week

, Monday to Friday

8:00am - 4:30pm

Pay & Benefits:

Starting salary up to 24,450 per annum

, depending on skills and experience

Overtime available

when authorised

o Weekdays: x1.25

o Saturdays: x1.5

Profit-related bonus

(after qualifying period)

Salary paid monthly in arrears
