Job Description

A Diamond & Son (Timber) Ltd is a family-owned sawmill, located in Coleraine, with 85 years' experience in manufacturing and supply of outdoor timber fencing and garden products nationwide.

We are currently seeking Timber Workersto join our team. The ideal candidate must be 18 years or older and will be responsible for supporting production operations ensuring that it runs smoothly and efficiently. This role requires manual handling as well as use of hand held tools and equipment to move materials around.

Working hours are Monday - Thursday 7:30am-4pm and Friday 7:30am - 3pm.

RESPONSIBILITIES



assisting with material processing operating of machinery maintaining good quality of work Inspect timber for quality and accuracy to ensure quality standards are met Assistance in the routine maintenance and cleaning of the sawmill equipment Compliance with health and safety procedures at all times Utilise hand tools for various woodworking tasks Flexibility to perform other general sawmill duties as required

SKILLS



Previous experience in a production environment essential Previous experience in a sawmill or woodworking environment desirable Ability to work on a production line within a team Ability to follow orders without difficulty Ability to perform lifting when required Ability to work on own initiative Familiarity with warehouse operations related to timber processing Basic math skills for measuring and calculating dimensions accurately
