Job Description

We are looking for a very special person to lead classes in our toddler adventure play and development programme in Chesterfield and surrounding areas. Toddler Sense provides weekly classes with a mixture of adventure play and structured activities. You will be supervising adventure play and leading varied activities in each session in accordance with our detailed lesson plans and providing developmental information.

You will be required to set up and breakdown the equipment before and after each class. It is essential that all of the equipment is regularly cleaned and always presented to a high standard in order to retain the reputation that Toddler Sense has developed throughout the UK and further afield. The classes are great fun to facilitate and provide an amazing opportunity to watch children under 5 grow and develop.

The ideal candidate will be:

Warm, friendly and approachable Sensitive about issues relating to mums with babies, toddlers and pre-school children Excellent communicator Have a strong sense of attention to detail Creative thinker Self-motivated and positive with a strong focus on customer service Outgoing and fun with a considerate and caring nature Confident when dealing with large groups of people although training will be provided Able to effectively communicate and negotiate with customers, especially in difficult situations Available to work on Mondays and Fridays 8-1 during term time (some weekend / school holiday work may be available) In possession of a full, clean driving licence as in the event of expansion a van would provided for business use
There is a comprehensive training programme where you will start as a Class Assistant, gaining an understanding of the programme and classroom management. During this time you would complete 2 days online training (March) and begin leading activities during classes. Once training has been completed you would begin running classes independently as a Class Leader

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From 12.50 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 10 per week
