The post is full-time, working 39 hours per week, day time only, Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:
Fabricate tools through machining processes including milling, grinding, welding, and assembly.
Maintain and repair existing tooling to ensure optimal performance in plastics injection moulding and other manufacturing activities.
Operate hand tools and fabrication equipment with precision to produce high-quality components.
Conduct inspections of tools to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
Collaborate with R&D department and production teams to understand tooling requirements and provide technical support.
Document tool specifications, modifications, and maintenance activities accurately for record keeping.
A commitment to safety, quality, and efficiency are essential in this role.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Tool Maker or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
Ability to accurately interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Computer literate; a level of proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and other relevant programmes would be an advantage.
Strong mechanical knowledge with expertise in tooling design, fabrication, and assembly processes.
Skilled in machining techniques including milling, grinding, welding, and fabrication using various hand tools.
Ability to accurate use measuring devices such as calipers and micrometers.
Knowledge of plastics injection moulding processes is highly desirable.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.
Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Relevant qualifications or apprenticeships in Mechanical Engineering or Toolmaking are preferred.
Metric and imperial knowledge would be an advantage.
In addition to a keen attention to detail, you need to demonstrate a positive approach and attitude to work, together with physical stamina and strength.
