As one of our Tool & Plant Hire Drivers you will be responsible for the transportation of hire, sales and serviced equipment to and from our customer's sites in a professional, safe and responsible manner.
Key Duties: -
Because of the changing nature of our business and its structure, your job description will inevitably change. You will from time to time be required to undertake other activities that fall within your capabilities as directed by the General Manager or senior manager on site.Delivering and collecting a wide variety of tools & equipment to and from our customers
Keeping an accurate record of all deliveries and collections and making sure corresponding paperwork is completed correctly
Carrying out daily vehicle checks to ensure safety and legal compliance
Building up relationships with our customers offering advice and a friendly delivery service
Selecting the correct equipment specified by our customers and loading it on to our vans safely and securely
Keeping work areas and vehicles clean and tidy
Be proactive in learning about new products and have an understanding of our range of products both for hire and sale
Assisting the company managers as they require
Working effectively in a small team
Partaking in training courses
Maintain Health & Safety to HSE & Company Standards
Attaining and maintaining training and competence standards and qualification as are legally and operationally required for you to carry out your key duties
As part of the role you will also be expected to assist within the depot team as required
Requirements: -
Clean, current driving licence (Class 2 would be advantageous)
Previous experience within the tool and plant hire industry or a good understanding of electrical, petrol and diesel equipment would be advantageous, but not essential
Experience of working in a fast paced environment driving a commercial vehicle
High regard for customer satisfaction
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Able to work without instruction and to take responsibility
Work well under pressure
Ability to learn about new products and understanding the basics of them
Good organisation skills - an ability to plan routes and prioritise workloads
A high level of accuracy is essential

Pay: 30,000.00-35,000.00 per year
