Press setter/mechanical technician.

The role:

Working in a friendly, inclusive team and in a brand new, clean, and dynamic production environment, You will be responsible for managing press tool performance and output quality .The components produced are highly decorative and as such need extreme care and attention throughout the manufacturing process .

This role brings good opportunities for training and progression within the production department for the right candidate.

Vestatec is an innovative design and manufacturing company based in Colwick, specialising in 'jewellery' type interior parts for high end luxury car brands such as Volvo, Bentley, Porsche, Lamborghini, and Rolls Royce.

Candidate key skills:

Press tool setting and tool maintenance Toolmaking Apprenticeship or tool making experience Excellent hand/eye coordination manual dexterity with high attention to detail Practical workshop tool and equipment skills Self-motivated and keen to work Hard working and reliable with good time keeping A mechanical mindset Organised clean and tidy worker
Experience of working in a production environment desirable but not essential as full training will be provided

Duties:

Performing tool changes and using tool handling equipment . completing first off checks with measuring equipment . conducting tool maintenance and basic repairs . Inspection of jewellery type parts Operation of light hydraulic press, loading and unloading of parts Keep workplace clean and tidy with a high level of attention to detail at all times Ability to communicate with other members of staff Using a simple MRP system to log and record data Positive attitude to tasks given Hours of work to be flexible between 8am - 4pm depending on production requirements Overtime maybe required depending on seasonality
