Prentice Westwood are a third generation coach company. Based at Westwood coach depot in West Calder, West Lothian, We offer coaches from 39 to 70 seats and cover Tours, Private hires, School runs, Rail Replacement and Sporting events.

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and professional Coach Tour Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting in-coming and out-going tourists to their destinations while ensuring a high level of customer service. This role requires a strong understanding of vehicle operation and a good knowledge of Scotland, as well as excellent communication skills to interact with passengers and Tour Guides effectively. This position will require the successful applicant to spend multiple days away from home.

Responsibilities

Follow a pre arranged itinerary. Ensure the safety and comfort of all passengers during transit. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the coach. Communicate effectively with Tour guides/Directors regarding routes, schedules, and any delays. Assist passengers with boarding and alighting, particularly those with disabilities or special needs. Report any mechanical issues or accidents promptly to management. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving. Safely and correctly load and unload passengers' luggage.

Skills

Good mechanical knowledge to identify basic vehicle issues. Proven ability to drive Coaches/Buses of various size. Excellent communication skills to interact positively with passengers and Tour guides / Directors. Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle unexpected situations effectively. Good organisational skills to manage schedules and routes efficiently.

Pay: 14.00-15.00 per hour
