/ Overview:

We are seeking a Trace Heating Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction site work or possess a good understanding of such work. The candidate should be capable of working in various environments, including commercial, industrial and residential settings. This role requires a hands-on approach and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve site issues efficiently.

The role will be a site based role, there will be daily travel to various different sites across London, Hampshire, Kent, Surrey, Essex and other surrounding counties. The candidate must hold a valid UK driving license. Hours of work would be 6am - 4pm, this includes travel time to/from sites.

Product and installation training will be provided before on site work commences and will learn on the job. It is not necessary to have any experience in installing Trace Heating Systems, although it is advantageous.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Install, maintain, and repair trace heating systems, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and standards. Travel to and from site (UK wide) with other members of installation staff, any travel expenditure will be covered by the company. Pass a Electrotechnical Certification Scheme (ECS) test and maintain accreditation (Training provided). Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively to carry out repairs and installations. Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure seamless integration of trace heating systems within buildings. Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used. Testing & Commissioning of installation. Ensure good quality workmanship which upholds company standards, complies with building codes, and follows safety requirements. Provide exceptional customer service and answer any customer questions. Effectively manage work schedule.

Skills:

Proficient in on-site knowledge/health & safety. Medically fit for manual on site work. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during installations or repairs. Familiarity with hand tools and power tools essential for assembly and installation tasks. (All PPE / Tools / Uniform will be provided). Ability to work at height (Steps/Podiums/Tower Scaffold/Lifters).

Candidate Requirements:

A full driving license, preferably clean. Be self-motivated to work individually but adaptable to work as part of a team. Able to communicate in a clear, concise, logical manner both verbally and written. Good customer service skills. Have a good level of fitness due to the physical demands of the job. Be able to pass security clearances. Have a flexible and positive outlook. Be available for overtime (weekend works when required). Flexibility to work away from home when needed.
Additional Information
Interview will take place at our head offices in Aldershot GU12 4RH. Holiday will be 25 days per year, including bank holidays. Your ability will be assessed within the first three months, on an initial probation period. Overtime works will be as and when required at weekends and will be paid at a higher rate. Travel to and from site will be covered by the company, in a company vehicle or via public transport.

Pay: 22,000.00-26,000.00 per year
