Duties

Operate tractor trailers safely and efficiently, ensuring compliance with all traffic regulations and company policies. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues. Load and unload cargo, ensuring that all items are secured properly for transport. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents that may occur during transit. Assist in the maintenance of the tractors by performing basic mechanical checks as needed. Adhere to all safety protocols while driving and during loading/unloading operations.

Experience

Proven experience in a similar role is preferred. Familiarity with operating flatbed lorries and vans is highly desirable. Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues is an asset.
