Based in Cirencester, we have over 50 years' experience in the agricultural, amenity and land maintenance sector. Tugwell Contracting are specialists within the renewable energy sector and work on over 300 solar farms across the UK.

Applicants would be required to work weekends and stay away on a regular basis,

accommodation will be provided.

We are looking for an experienced or trainable, hard working and reliable person to undertake a variety of work including: Tractor Driving, laborours, fencing and landscaping (tree planting)

We are looking for a hard working and reliable person to undertake a variety of work. Experience would be an advantage however attitude, enthausiasm and willingness to learn is more important. The tasks you will undertake include, but are not limited to:

Commercial Deer Fencing Agricultural and Farm Fencing Specialist Fencing solutions Gate installation Remedial fencing work Good level of site safety, problem solving and ability to work in a team Adhering at all times to the Health and Safety procedures and site safety Grass Cutting (Hand held and ride-on machinery) Tree & Shrub Planting Grassland/meadow seeding Ecological Mitigation work Fencing Vegetation clearance Daily work would include the basic maintenance and cleaning of machinery Experience of Horticultural and Agricultural methods would be beneficial solar Park maintenance works Hedgerow & Landscaping management Fence construction using mechanical means Excavation and trenching works Tractor, Roller and Dumper driving An opportunity to build experience on a variety of machinery Up-skill existing basic knowledge on various plant

Full Driving Licence essential

CSCS Card beneficial

First Aid and Machinery Operative Certificate would be an advantage.

Training will be provided.

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Tractor Driver, labourer, fencing, landscaper tree planting to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in commercial driving, This role requires effective communication skills and the ability to operate various types of vehicles, including tractors. A solid understanding of mechanical systems is advantageous, as you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient transport.

Responsibilities

Safely operate vehicles Perform pre-trip inspections and ensure that the vehicle is in good working condition. Communicate effectively with staff and customers to coordinate and resolve any issues that may arise. Ensuring proper handling to prevent damage. Maintain accurate records including times, locations, and any incidents that occur during work Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.

Requirements

Valid driving licence with appropriate endorsements for the vehicles being operated. Previous experience as a driver or in a similar role is preferred but training can be provided. Strong mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with team members and customers. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. A commitment to safety and adherence to all relevant regulations.
