Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Tractor Trailer Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in commercial driving and delivery, with the ability to operate tractor and trailers efficiently. This role requires good communication skills and a solid understanding of mechanical operations to ensure the safe and timely delivery of goods.

Duties

Operate tractor and trailers to transport goods to various locations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations. Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required. Communicate effectively with clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing of materials for transport. Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving. Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries.

Qualifications

Valid commercial driving licence with appropriate endorsements for tractor trailer operation. Proven experience as a tractor and trailer driver. Strong mechanical knowledge to perform basic maintenance on the vehicle. Good communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. A commitment to safety and adherence to all driving regulations.
Job Types: Temporary, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 weeks

Pay: From 13.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
