We are offering an exciting opportunity for Trade Counter Assistant to join our new Collection point at Wakefield.

If successful you will be responsible for a range of duties, selling to mainly trade and the general public.



Roles and Responsibilities:



Customer Focus



Building relationships with customers through excellent customer service, understanding requirements and ensuring that the correct products are quoted; as a result, securing on-going business. Being precise with the processes & procedures from quoting to supply, and the checking of goods inwards & outwards. Assist with Goods in & out, checking deliveries, collating orders, & loading the van. Keeping the trade counter/showroom tidy and re-stocked at all times. Be involved with stock checks for relevant categories. Assist with deliveries when required. Keeping up to date with product knowledge for stock portfolios and aligned ranges. Candidates must be confident, committed, and motivated, with strong IT skills. Happy to work with the team to meet department sales targets. Performing any other duties as may be deemed necessary or as may be required. Please note this role does require occasional heavy lifting.

Product Focus

To ensure the branch promotes profitable product groups ahead of others. To build and maintain successful partnerships with suppliers to improve sales and profitability of their product range. Trade Counter / Telephone Sales To ensure sales and profit opportunities are maximised through effective merchandising. To ensure a first-class telephone sales and trade counter service is in place to generate loyal regular customers. To maintain and utilise a customer mailing list to enable special offers or events to be communicated.

Experience:

Home improvement: 2 years (required) Trade counter sales: 2 years (required)



Salary: 25,000

Commission rate: 1% flat rate



Job Type: Full time

Hours: 8:30 - 17:00

Days: Monday - Friday (40 hour contract)

Work Location: In-person, Wakefield Collections (Calder Park)
