The Role

We are looking for a motivated and reliable Trade Counter / Warehouse Operative to join our friendly team. This is a varied role, combining customer service at the trade counter with warehouse duties, ensuring our stock is organised, orders are fulfilled, and customers are served quickly and professionally.

Key Responsibilities:

Greeting and serving customers at the trade counter in a professional and friendly manner Advising customers on products, prices, and availability Processing sales transactions accurately using the till system Picking, packing, and dispatching customer orders Receiving and checking incoming deliveries Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised warehouse and counter area Stock replenishment and inventory checks Assisting with loading/unloading goods where necessary

Skills & Experience:

Previous experience in a trade counter, hardware store, or warehouse environment (preferred but not essential - training will be given) Good knowledge of tools, fixings, and hardware products (advantageous) Strong communication and customer service skills Basic IT skills for processing orders and stock control Physically fit and able to lift/move stock safely Reliable, punctual, and a team player
