Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team at The Big Trade Counter in Stoke. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in commercial driving and delivery, with the ability to operate 3.5 tonne box van. This role will involve delivering UPVC & Aluminium products to our customers.

You will be supporting with loading and delivering orders to our customers covering Telford/ Shropshire & North Wales. You will also help us by providing an outstanding service to our customers and work well with other team members.

Duties

Proven experience as a Delivery Driver

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Commercial driving experience is preferred Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks (due to the role involving loading and unloading heavy products) Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and colleagues Familiarity with warehouse operations is a plus Good organisational skills with the ability to work with a small team or solo. Ideally experience with a similar role in a trade/builder's merchants. A hands-on approach with a confident and happy manner towards dealing and communicating with customers. A can-do attitude with the motivation to get the job done to the best customer satisfaction.

Requirements

Valid commercial driving licence with appropriate endorsements for vehicle operation. Proven experience as a delivery driver - essential. Familiarity with warehouse operations - advantageous. Strong mechanical knowledge to address minor vehicle issues as they arise. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients. Ability to work independently while adhering to safety protocols and company standards.

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday 7:00 - 13:00 however on one day per week you will be required to work 7:00 - 16:00.
