Trade Counter Sales Assistant

to join our small team at our busy Bournemouth branch.

Your Role

As a Trade Counter Sales Assistant, you'll be the first point of contact for customers at our depot. Whether they're long-time trade clients or new DIYers, you'll offer product advice, process orders, and help them find what they need - always with a helpful attitude and a smile.

What You'll Do

Serve customers at the trade counter with a professional, friendly approach Handle enquiries in person, over the phone, and by email Advise customers on products, pricing, and availability Process sales and returns using our in-house system Work closely with the yard team to coordinate orders and collections Keep the trade counter area clean, stocked, and organised Support with basic admin and stock checks

What We're Looking For

Experience in a trade counter, retail, or customer service role A good communicator with a positive, can-do attitude Knowledge of landscaping or building materials (desirable but not essential) Comfortable working in a small team where flexibility is key Organised and reliable, with basic computer skills Willingness to learn and pitch in where needed Forklift licence or willingness to train
