Job Description



We are currently seeking a motivated and dependable

Trade Counter Sales Assistant

to join our friendly team at Miranda's busy Trade Counter, located on the Medway City Estate in Rochester. This is a customer-facing role where you will support both trade and retail customers by providing expert product advice and assistance across our wide range of door and window parts and glass.

The ideal candidate will be a fast learner with excellent communication skills, comfortable working in a busy environment, and confident handling a variety of responsibilities with professionalism and care. You will also assist with stock handling, covering inbound sales enquiries, and safe manual handling of glass. A willingness to learn and use our sales and order processing system confidently is essential; full training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities



Serve customers on our busy trade counter with a friendly and helpful attitude Build and maintain positive relationships with both new and long-standing trade customers Learn our product range and systems quickly Respond to enquiries and update customers via phone and email Request purchase orders and follow up on order status when required Liaise with the purchasing team to ensure accurate order fulfilment Safely handle and move double glazed sealed units (full training provided) Provide consistently high levels of customer service Work collaboratively with all team members Demonstrate a proactive attitude and a willingness to keep learning

Candidate Requirements



Comfortable and skilled at interacting with a wide variety of customers Quick to learn and able to retain product and system knowledge Strong verbal and written communication skills Reliable, punctual, and an active team contributor Professional appearance and attitude Comfortable interacting with a wide variety of customers Confident with handling and lifting glass sealed units (training provided) Confident and competent with basic IT and sales/order systems (training provided) A good sense of humour and a positive, can-do mindset Previous experience in glazing, building supplies, or trade counter sales is helpful, but not essential

Pay: 26,250.00 per year
