Role Overview

We're seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Trade Counter Sales Assistant to join our team in January 2026. This role involves providing excellent customer service, processing sales transactions, maintaining stock levels, and supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the store.

Trade Counter Sales Staff duties include:

Key Responsibilities

Greet and assist customers, providing product advice and recommendations Process customer orders and payments accurately Maintain inventory levels and restock shelves as needed Monitor and respond to customer enquiries via email and phone Handle customer issues professionally and efficiently Liaise with suppliers and place orders Carry out general stores duties as required
Requirements

Strong time management and organisational skills Positive attitude and excellent communication skills Basic computer literacy (experience with Sage is an advantage) Knowledge or interest in tools, machinery, or welding equipment is a distinct advantage Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential

Start Date: January 2026 Job Type: Full-time Hours: 40 hours per week Schedule: Monday to Saturday (Saturdays on a rota basis) Location: Lisburn (must be able to commute or relocate) Education: GCSE or equivalent (preferred) Licence: Full UK Driving Licence (required); Forklift Licence (preferred)
