Average of 42 hours a week (40 hours one week, 44 hours the next) - Monday to Friday 7.30am - 4.30pm / 8am - 5pm, with alternate Saturday's 9am - 1pm

We're looking for a

confident, customer-focused Sales Assistant

to join our small, dedicated team. This role is split between

showroom sales

and

trade sales support

, so you'll need to enjoy variety and thrive in a busy, hands-on environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Retail Showroom Sales

Greet and assist customers with product advice, inspiration, and guidance. Understand customer needs and help them select the right tiles and accessories. Provide clear, accurate quotes, process sales, and arrange orders. Use maths skills to calculate tile quantities and area measurements for customer projects. Maintain showroom displays and ensure a clean, welcoming environment. Use in-house computer systems for quotes, orders, and stock checks. Stay up to date with product ranges, trends, and technical information.

Trade Sales

Build lasting relationships with local tradespeople, installers, and developers. Handle trade enquiries in-store, by phone, and on-site when required. Support trade customers with product advice, pricing, and deliveries. Identify and approach new trade customers in the local area.

What We're Looking For:

Excellent communication skills and a genuine interest in helping people. Experience in sales, retail, customer service, or trade counter work. Confident working with both retail and trade customers. Proactive, organised, and able to work independently and as part of a team. Good basic

maths skills -- able to work out tile quantities and measurements accurately.

Physically fit and happy to assist with lifting tile products.

Computer literate -- able to learn and use sales/order software confidently.

A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn.

Full UK driving licence (preferred)

for occasional trade visits and deliveries.
