What role will you play within our team

Currently we have an opportunity for a Trading Analytics Product Owner (PO) to be part of our Innovation and Business Transformation (I&BT) team within Product Solutions company. The role will work very closely with our new Global Trading Organization, Trading Analytics and Fusion teams, leading the development of new products and enhancements of existing ones.

The Trading Analytics PO is a liaison between the business customers and IT delivery teams, responsible for the products roadmap and backlog of developments, considered 50/50 split between technical and business skills.

What you will do

KEY DELIVERABLES (Define/outline primary responsibilities)

  • Single point of contact for the business regarding Trading Analytics Products
  • Liaison between the Global Trading organization (customers) and IT delivery team
  • Enables efficient consumption of data through analytics data models and applications
  • Leverages analytical and business intelligence skills to translate business requirements into data models / visualizations / Features and User Stories (including detailed acceptance criteria, priority, and description) for effective insight generation and enablement of business processes
  • Analyzes business processes and identifies / implements improvement opportunities
  • Assesses if data set is fit-for-use; validates data integrity for modeling and user story development
  • Plan and prioritize work intake through Agile methodology, in accordance with business priorities, value, and cost of delay, flexible to adapt to constant changes and requirements
  • Leads user acceptance testing and training
SCOPE (Impacts, success measures/metrics, position in Value Chain)
  • Manages Features and User stories\' life cycle
  • Facilitates Power User Network(s); monitors tools usage and develops and maintains visualizations
  • Owns analytics requirements on behalf of the business and captures benefits for each product
  • Defines Program Increment (PI) plans through Agile methodology, jointly with other POs and Product Manager

About you
  • Bachelor\'s or Master\'s degree in Computer Science, Business, or engineering
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a fast-paced environment/multinational company
  • Business process expertise and analysis: Integrates business knowledge / judgment with data mining and analytics to support the generation of accurate and relevant business insights; experience in energy/commodity trading and familiarity with commodity trading analytics use cases
  • Project Management: Applies project management skills and principles to work activities to support initiatives and projects
  • Process Management: Applies continuous improvement processes to develop, implement and sustain analytics platforms via use of CI tools and leveraging analytics technologies (Snowflake, Python, SQL, Dataiku, Azure, etc.)
  • Systems and Tools: Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications and hands on experience with visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau)
  • Interpersonal Skills:
  • Active listening, strong communication & interpersonal skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal & external customers and work with a multi-cultural global team
  • Innovative and analytical thinking

Preferred Qualifications/Experience
  • Experience in operating and/or supporting robust and scalable big data platforms
  • Experience in Trading, Oil & Gas
  • Global and regional energy markets\' knowledge
  • Practical working experience in utilizing and operating cloud services (preferably Azure); Snowflake, python, SQL, dataiku, databricks, Machine Learning, etc.
