Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Banksman to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient movement of materials on site. As a Banksman, you will be responsible for directing vehicle movements and assisting with the coordination of operations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and protocols.

Responsibilities

Communicate effectively with drivers and site personnel to facilitate safe vehicle movements. Direct lorries and other vehicles during loading and unloading operations. Monitor site activities to ensure adherence to health and safety standards. Build strong working relationships with team members and external stakeholders. Conduct regular inspections of equipment and work areas to identify potential hazards. Maintain clear communication at all times, using hand signals or radios as necessary. Assist in training new staff on safety procedures and operational protocols.

Experience

Proven experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential; training will be provided. Strong command of English, both spoken and written, to ensure effective communication on site. Ability to drive is advantageous, particularly for those who may need to operate site vehicles. Demonstrated ability to build rapport with colleagues and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment. A commitment to maintaining high safety standards and promoting a culture of safety within the team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 17.00-18.00 per hour
