Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and confident Traffic Controller to oversee and manage our team of Drivers, to ensure our clients get exactly the service they expect to grow our business. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and the ability to maintain order in busy environments. This role is crucial for ensuring compliance with traffic regulations.

Duties

Cover work when required. Ensure effective discipline amongst Drivers to ensure that all work is carried out properly. Communicate effectively with drivers and team members to provide clear instructions and guidance. Maintain a high level of situational awareness to identify potential lost mileage or issues causing operational disruptions. Report any incidents or issues promptly to the Transport Manager. Ensure compliance with all health and safety, working time and Drivers' hours regulations while on duty. Responding to new enquiries.

Qualifications

Previous experience in traffic control or a related field is preferred but not essential. Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey instructions clearly and effectively. Capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining focus on safety. A valid Category D driving licence. Use of Coach Manager & TruTac software advantageous A proactive approach to problem-solving and maintaining order, safety & efficiency.
