Traffic Signals Installer

Location: Manchester, United Kingdom | Full time

Your Challenge


We are looking to recruit a Trainee Installer/ Installer to join SWARCO UK & Ireland in Manchester's field Engineering Services Team.

What you will do

The role of the Trainee Installer/ Installer will be to learn to install, refurbish and/or repair a variety of equipment, including traffic signalling and other electrical street equipment such as street lighting, CCTV and barrier systems etc. to customer specifications. The successful candidate will have a good aptitude for learning.


Customer service is key to delivery as well as ensuring that QHSSE regulations and procedures are followed at all times.


Although predominantly based in the Manchester area, there may be a requirement from time to time to work in other Service Centre districts which may involve overnight stays.

What we are looking for

In order to fulfil the role successfully the following are some of the key skills and experience required:

GCSE in English & Maths. Electrical knowledge Good mechanical aptitude The ability to work on own as well as part of a team The ability to work at heights An organised and enthusiastic work ethic Full driving license
