Job Summary -

The ideal candidate will have at least 2-3 years experience in an

accountancy practice and have gained their AAT status or nearing the end of level 4.

They will be responsible for assisting with financial record-keeping and administrative tasks to support the accounting department and directors. Support can be given on any training towards ACCA/ICAEW status.

The candidate will have a knowledge of producing accounts for sole traders/partnerships/Limited company, CT600s, Companies House forms, filing IXBRL accounts.

The salary will be competitive and dependent on experience.

Duties

- Maintain accurate financial records using accounting software such as Sage, Xero, and Excel to name a few.

- Prepare financial accounts/reports, including balance sheets and income statements for all types of business from sole traders/partnerships to small medium companies. FRS102/FRS105 Accounting reporting requirements for companies.

- Preparation and submission of VAT returns

- Reconcile bank statements and monitor financial transactions

Qualifications

- Proficiency in accounting software like QuickBooks, Sage, Xero

- Previous experience in an accountancy practice is essential - minimum 2 years

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry

- Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently

- Support will be given for any training requirements with AAT/ATT/ACCA/ICAEW
