Trainee Accountant

Description

Gray + Press has experienced significant growth and due to internal promotions are seeking a trainee accountant on a full-time basis. Our offices are located near the Titanic Quarter in Belfast with parking nearby. The team is?very dynamic?with a strong work ethic. The partners encourage and promote all team members to continually develop. Our offices close every Friday at 1pm. Key elements of this role will include;

Communicating with clients via the telephone, email and face to face on a regular basis Preparation of accounts and assisting with corporation and individual tax returns Bookkeeping and drafting of VAT returns Potential to be involved in transactional work i.e M&A Complex Tax advice Ad hoc project work and support for other areas of the business
Skills required

We are looking for someone with an excellent understanding of numbers and high levels of comprehension who is determined to build a career as a Qualified Accountant.

GCSE/A-level/Degree qualification, ideally in a numerate subject or discipline demonstrating your analytical skills Strong numerical ability Analytical skills and critical thinking Proficient IT skills in MS Office and Excel Confident in communication Relevant experience in a practice environment highly desirable
