We operate a flexible hybrid working model with 3 days per week in the office and 2 days per week working from home.

The Role



Based in our Braintree office, we are looking for an individual with a passion to develop a career in Finance and to become a part of our team. This will be an opportunity to develop your skills in accountancy whilst learning about how a busy finance team works. You will receive study support towards your chosen accountancy qualification, and you'll have a mentor in the team who will be there to provide advice and help you progress. Working in the Finance team your role will include:

Aiding in the setup and review of monthly payments for asset and install cost Entering financial information into Sage and the general ledger Oracle Preparation of monthly accruals and prepayments Adhoc data reconciliations Understanding and investigating implications of invoicing on the account Supporting year end processes Undertaking balance sheet reconciliations ensuring tight month end deadlines are met Monthly, quarterly and annual reports Engaging with external auditors and helping prepare the statutory accounts for one of our entities Delivering accurate reporting on profit and loss performance against budget and against monthly forecasts

The Person



We are looking for an individual who wants to develop a career in accountancy, ideally a graduate with a strong honours degree, and is willing to undertake further study to become professionally qualified. In addition, you will have:

Energy and enthusiasm, a self-starter is a must for this role Excellent attention to detail Analytical and problem-solving skills to spot trends or errors Good IT skills, including intermediate excel skills - SQL knowledge advantageous Strong organisational skills to enable you to prioritise work effectively and meet deadlines Excellent numeracy skills with the ability to interpret financial information accurately Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work well as part of a team A curious mind with the initiative to question, explore and innovate. A desire to learn and develop in the role
