Reporting to the Management Accountant, this is a well-rounded training role that offers exposure to all areas of finance. You'll gain hands-on experience in monthly reporting, reconciliations, VAT returns, audit preparation, and budgeting--making it an excellent opportunity to develop your accounting skills and build a strong foundation for your finance career in a fast-paced, supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare monthly balance sheet accounts and maintain accurate revenue data.
Conduct profit & loss analysis and compile monthly financial reports.
Maintain fixed asset register and load trade agreement documents into system.
Perform foreign exchange revaluations and intercompany netting.
Prepare VAT returns and monitor daily bank statements for reconciliation.
Support Management Accounting with inventory reserve calculations.
Manage accounts receivable and ensure timely invoicing.
Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation.
Contribute to budget planning and forecasting processes.
Handle ad-hoc finance tasks and provide cross-functional support as needed.
Skills and Experience:
Previous experience in accounts or finance roles is essential.
AAT Qualified (Or currently studying) or equivalent finance qualification.
Communication skills, especially when speaking with customers.
High attention to detail and ability to prioritise tasks.
Proficient in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel
Experience of working with accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities within the department.
