We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant to join our Accounts team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the financial operations of the organisation by managing various accounting tasks. This position is ideal for individuals looking to develop their skills in accounting and finance within a dynamic environment.
Duties
Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and ensure all entries are correct.
Process invoices, payments, and receipts in a timely manner.
Reconcile bank statements and manage petty cash.
Support month-end closing processes by preparing necessary documentation.
Assist with audits by providing required information and documentation.
Collaborate with team members to improve financial processes and procedures.
Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding accounts payable and receivable.
Skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal, for liaising with colleagues and clients.
Basic understanding of accounting principles is preferred; relevant qualifications are advantageous but not essential.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating initiative when required.
