Trainee Administrative Assistant
to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to begin their career within the construction and environmental safety sector, gaining hands-on experience while supporting a busy and friendly office.
The ideal candidate will be someone who is eager to learn, organised, reliable, and confident communicating with a wide range of people. As a trainee, you will receive full support and on-the-job training, gradually taking on more responsibilities as your knowledge develops.
Key Responsibilities
Assisting with a wide range of administrative duties, from basic tasks through to more detailed and complex work as your confidence grows.
Helping to produce detailed work plans, programmes, and project documentation to support ongoing asbestos removal works.
Supporting the Contracts Manager and Directors with day-to-day operations, scheduling, record keeping, and communication requirements.
Communicating with clients via phone and email, including confidently making outbound calls to help solve problems or gather important project information.
Learning key administrative processes such as invoicing, purchasing, and document control.
Visiting live construction sites once fully trained to gain a firsthand understanding of the industry.
What We're Looking For
Competence using Microsoft Office packages such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
A good communicator with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
Someone interested in developing a solid understanding of the construction industry and particularly the health & safety considerations surrounding asbestos removal.
A candidate who is comfortable taking on tasks of all levels, from straightforward administrative duties to more technical responsibilities as training progresses.
Own transport is required, as our offices are not serviced by public transport, making independent travel essential.
Working Hours
Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm
No weekend work required.
Salary
This is a trainee position and will be paid at the National Minimum Wage, with opportunities to progress as your experience and responsibilities grow.
