Permanent, Full-time (37 hours per week)

Monday-Thursday: 7:00am-3:30pm (or 8:00am-4:30pm) Friday: 7:00am-12:00pm (or 8:00am-1:00pm)

We are now looking for a

Trainee Assembly & Test Technician

to join our friendly team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a hands-on, practical mindset who is keen to learn a skilled trade in a precision manufacturing environment.

The Role

As a trainee, you will receive full training to learn how to assemble and test high-quality valves used in critical applications. You'll be supported by experienced technicians and engineers as you develop your mechanical understanding, technical skills, and confidence in a clean, organised workshop.

You'll gradually learn to:

Build and assemble precision-engineered valves from detailed work instructions Follow step-by-step processes to ensure quality and accuracy Carry out basic testing procedures under supervision Handle and inspect small components with care and attention to detail Maintain good housekeeping and follow safe working practices

What We're Looking For

You don't need previous experience in valve assembly -- we'll teach you everything you need to know.
We are looking for someone who is:

Interested in engineering or hands-on mechanical work Reliable, enthusiastic, and eager to learn Able to follow instructions carefully and take pride in doing a job well Comfortable working as part of a team and communicating clearly Good with basic tools and practical problem solving

Desirable (but not essential)

Some workshop or mechanical experience (even as a hobby or from school/college) Basic understanding of mechanical drawings or measuring tools
