The Role
This post involves assessing all new entrants into the treatment system, offering harm reduction advice and developing initial care plans and safety plans. Use your engagement skills to motivate and support the individual into the right avenues of treatment for them. The post-holder will also deliver a short-duration programme to those using lower levels of alcohol.
We offer a 6 month training programme, covering aspects such as drug and alcohol knowledge, motivational interviewing skills, safeguarding, managing conflict and trauma-informed practice, to name a few. A full role induction is given, and you will be supported via supervision with your line manager.

Based in our Chesterfield office, our wonderful, diverse team is knowledgeable and supportive, with a wealth of knowledge to impart.
Whilst it can't be guaranteed, at the end of the traineeship we often have practitioner roles available for career advancement.
