The Opportunity

We're offering an exciting opportunity for someone with sales experience--perhaps from a furniture or interiors showroom--who's ready to move into a design-led career in the fitted furniture industry.

As a Trainee Bedroom Designer, you'll be based at our Dungannon showroom, working closely with our experienced designer to learn every aspect of the business -- from design and CAD software to customer consultations and site surveys.

Throughout your training, you'll also spend time in our Lisburn showroom to gain experience in a live sales environment.
Once training is successfully completed (typically up to one year, depending on the candidate), you'll progress to a Bedroom Designer position based predominantly in Lisburn, managing customer enquiries and sales for that area.

Key Responsibilities

Support the lead designer with day-to-day showroom operations. Assist with customer consultations, learning how to guide clients through design and product choices. Help with site surveys and measuring visits, gaining hands-on experience in planning and layout. Develop skills in CAD design software (full training provided). Handle administration tasks, including CRM updates, quotation preparation, and scheduling. Maintain the presentation of the showroom, ensuring displays and samples are up to date. Gradually progress to handling customer appointments independently as your training advances.

Ideal Candidate

Some sales or customer service experience, ideally in furniture, interiors, or a design-related retail environment. A genuine interest in interiors and design, with a strong eye for detail. Professional, confident, and customer-focused. Organised, proactive, and eager to learn new skills. Comfortable using computers and learning new software (CAD experience is a plus but not essential). Full UK driving licence preferred.
