An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Trainee Case Officer to join our New Build Shared Ownership team based in our Wells office. This is a full-time role which covers 08.30 - 17.00, Monday to Friday and is inclusive of a one hour lunch break.
This role is largely administrative and customer service based. The purpose of this role is to support the Fee Earner (Conveyancer) and provide high levels of customer service by responding to telephone calls and emails in a timely manner. You will be the first point of contact for our clients, in addition to liaising with developers, Housing Associations and their solicitors, mortgage companies and brokers. You will need to administer daily work to a high standard and to make an excellent contribution to the financial success of the team.
Full training on all aspects of this role will be provided.
Key Duties of the Role:
To be assigned a number of files as a case load;
To deal with draft contract packages, searches, exchange and completion formalities;
To review client Mortgage Offers;
To provide general file progression and updates to clients and third parties with use of our Case Management system;
Ensuring Firm policy and procedure is adhered to during the transaction;
Participate in all training programmes initiated by the Line Managers;
Report all issues of concern to the Head of Department or as they may direct;
To administer daily work within the restrictions of GDPR, Law Society Conveyancing Quality Scheme and Solicitors Regulation Authority;
To undertake additional tasks as deemed reasonable to meet the needs of the team in the delivery of excellent client service.
Requirements for the Role:
Ability to prioritise your workload and stay calm under pressure;
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of people either face to face, by telephone and via email;
Use IT systems efficiently;
Produce accurate work and have a keen eye for detail;
Good verbal and written communication skills;
Minimum of 5 GCSEs A - C/9-4 or equivalent is essential;.
Salary - 24,000.00
Full training will be provided. You must be eligible to work in the UK.
